Could anyone recommend a not too commercial campsite on the IOW that has good quality statics?
Don't worry...this is for next year
My brother hasn't been able to work for a long time due to health problems, so money's always been very tight for him and his family. They haven't had a holiday for many years, and neither has my mum, who's a pensioner on her own.
They are going to club together next year and rent a static for a week during the school summer holidays, but my mum keeps saying she doesn't like statics (though what she bases this on it don't know ) I know she wouldn't like a big commercial site either, but I have a 9 year old niece who would miss other kids if they rented a cottage (assuming they could find one cheap enough)
Cost is very much an issue for everyone, so a £1000 plus a week is not an option for a posh lodge.
Had considered 'The Orchards', but don't know what the statics are like.
Suggestions welcome

We have just returned from The Orchards,We didn't stay in the statics but they looked modern and clean.Whilst in reception one day a lady came in to mention a couple of minor defects and the receptionist sorted them out straight away. The statics are the tradional type and not the posh lodges appearing nowadays. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have no complaints. The facilities are first class, decent swimming pools, nice location, etc. We have a tourer so I didn't actually get a peek in the statics but woudn't imagine them to be below standard.
Grange Farm has 5 or 6 statics that are virtually on the (pebbley) beach. Sorry don't know about quality or cost but looked ok. It does have an excellent play park for your niece & also has lots of animals. Might be worth a look.
We stayed at Grange Farm, Brighstone Bay July 2008. Playground and animals great for kids. Statics overlook the sea. Statics were perfectly adequate for us (2 adults,1 toddler & 1 baby). I think they had 6 and 8 berth ones. Small shop on site. Not far to drive to many attractions. They have a website (sorry can't find link at mo.) We went the week before the summer holidays so was a bargain - not sure of holiday prices, but definitely worth looking at.
