Has anyone ever come across the perfect site?Pitch size,Location...everything just perfect?SO perfect you like to book so early to avoid disapointment?
lol Thought it would be fun to know were everyones fave site is?
With link if you can?
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
sorry to burst the bubble but there's no such thing! Some are better than others but they all have there little imperfections which in my book is a good thing, if we found the perfect site we'd never go any where else. We have half a dozen or so sites that are as near as perfect can be for us that we will visit over and over again but 1 of the joys of camping is seeking out new little hideaways. It may just be a view or a lovely shower or the fact that the weather is always good when we go but I've yet to find a site I 100% don't like - even shell island!!!!
Think it would be easier to choose the worst sites! I agree there are few perfect sites but there are amny really lovley ones you find and go back again to. I do think that the weather does help, my two favourite sites have both been very quiet sites that not many other people had discovered and it just so happened to be sunny when we went to them!
No-one is going to let that cat out of the bag. There are often over 2000 visitors to this forum. Who wants them all squeezing you out of your favourite site?
I think it just depends what you are looking for in a campsite, we have 3 favourites, and all for different reasons. Fforest Fields near Buith Wells, Trethem Mill in cornwall, and Bolberry house farm in south Devon. Penny
One person's perfect site will be someone elses idea of Hell.
You need to find the perfect site FOR YOU as your requirements and what makes something perfect to you may well be vastly different from another camper.
Personally I like a site with spacious pitches, that is family and dog friendly, has EHU and is in an area with plenty to see and do - not saying where it is though!!!
I have found pretty much my perfect site. A CC certificated location.
All it has is a cold water tap and a hole in the ground as the CDP.
It is on the edge of a farm, has 3 ponds and a 30 to 40 minute walk across the fields to the local village for the papers. So quiet and peaceful. When we were last there the weather was hot and sunny and we were the only ones camping until a tugger turned up late on Saturday.
------------- Work is the curse of the camping classes!
we never book....I just head for a site and if its full find a new one....its rare that they are full though, only on the big bank holidays and even then if your earlyish friday your ok...
