Been loads of times to the area and woolacombe bay sites are good but expensive Europa is well set for surfers http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=1077 Damage barton is great but as most site's in the area very exposed to the wind!! http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=4728 Morthoe has some nice small sites I think Gold coast is the best site for protection against the wind There is one site on the right just before Croyde but cant rember the name
