We have been camping for 2 years in a tent... today we looked at caravans and bought one???!!! We are now looking to try it out October half term only for a short break so not too far away from the midlands (close to where we live). Any ideas please would be fantastic

We love going away during October half term! The only sites we've used in the midlands are Kingsbury C&CC site and Harbury Fields Farm CC site. We enjoyed both sites but it depends what kind of site you want. These are both quiet sites with no bar or entertainment.
Thanks Lassie, went to Kingsbury last year in the tent but will have a look at Harbury Fields. Not too bothered about entertainment as we are going with friends so hopefully will make our own, just looking for ideas especially pitches that are easy to get on to as we are novices and it is just a test run. Thanks again
this wouldnt be too far for you - very easy to get onto pitches. great for visiting the wetlands centre, and the boats on the canal are good to see. We were there last October and stayed for the Hallowen party at the 'black shed' which is alongside the canal - 2 mins walk away.

Hello again, i agree with Ang/Ken, we went to Tudor for October half term 07! My only gripe then was the toilet block was very small although it didn't cause any problems, but is see now that their new toilet block is now open. Its a lovely spot alongside the canal.
