Hi
Looking to go away for the weekend in a few weeks with two other families and kids. Returning to the camping lark, having previously done a lot of it in my youth, and have to say this site has been a godsend whilst we were looking for a tent!! The tent reviews section proved to be priceless as everytime we thought we'd found a good one, we checked the reviews and then either binned it or added to a shortlist. Finally settled on the Horizon 8 with a Porch, having been very tempted by the new Beyond Meridian 8 but in the end it came down to what we could get for our money.

Anyway, so far we've been to Billing Aquadrome midweek (had a great time despite the reviews!) and Bosworth Water Park for a long weekend (another good choice and great place for the kids!) so would be nice to continue our current good run!

We're currently wading through the reviews section but just thought would be handy to see if any members could recommend sites they've been to that are either in Warwickshire or Northamptonshire?

We'd spotted Upton Barn in the campsite search section and earmarked it as a possible but always good to hear the opinion of people that have been there, especially when it's recent!!  Looks like we may be going sooner than I thought with a trip on the cards for next weekend looking very likely at the moment.  Just hope the current run of good weather continues!

Our neighbours across the road have taken a spur of the moment trip this evening to a local site and have to say I think they've made a great decision with the weather looking sunny and warm all weekend.  Fingers crossed all those members who've done the same have a decent weekend as well, wherever they may be!

There's Kingsbury Water Park C&CC site (but I found the warden's not too user friendly) and Conkers (not Warwickshire, but only just accross the border)

i hope i didn't confuse you, with my review. its sounds like there there are only toilets and showers in the mens ? obviously i don't know about the ladies.17 17

Kingsbury water park definitely.the site is clean and showers are fab.the water park is great for a day out and only costs 3.00 to park all day or you can walk from the site.love it there.

Thanks for the recommendations so far, much appreciated!

I think Upton Barn will do the trick this weekend as it's reasonably local to all families and seems to have a good range of facilities. E-mailed them and there's plenty of space apparently so just hoping the weather holds out now, or at least lets us set up in the dry!! Kingsbury will definitely get a visit at some point, possibly early October, as might have sorted out CCC membership by then as well.

Yes, I have driven past it many times and wondered what is was like - too near home for us too (sunny Polesworth).   It just looks a bit 'open'.
