Has anyone been to Upper Carr near Flamingo Land and if so would you reccommend it? Toilets, play park ect. I have 2 kids age 7 and 10 and need to keep them amused while there

We always used to go to UpperCarr and always enjoyed it, thier standards are very good, play park ok, toilets always clean ,owners very nice, tractor ride on a Sat night.

A few years ago we started going to the Black Bull instead (opposite side of the road) we love the Black Bull as it has a footie field, indoor games room but to be honest I couldn`t realy chose one against the other.

The area is fantastic, nice 9 hole golf and a great friendly pub which is child friendly.

The coast is 30 mins away, Flamingo land and Eden Camp very close. Helmsley and Thornton Le Dale close by. Pickering and the Yorks Moors railway are on your doorstep.

We went there for our first family camping trip this year , we all loved the place , nice and quiet , pub just across the road , near to dalby forest and east coast . When we were leaving i asked the kids if they enjoyed it and wanted to return ? 1 min later and we had pulled up outside the office and booked for the weekend again .
The toilets are clean , good washing up area ,good shop , i couldnt find a fault with it

We stayed at Upper Carr a few years ago at Halloween.
Although we have our own van we hired one of their wooden lodges and it was really nice.
We had a problem due to the fact that the engine of our Trooper blew up , while we were going up Sutton Bank and had to be towed to the site.
The owners could not have been more helpful. They helped us carry our stuff from the car to the lodge, as the breakdown truck left us at the entrance to the site.
Couldn't recommend it highly enough.
Had a walk round the park and would not have a problem bringing our van there in the future.
