During these 'economically challenging' times do any posters know of campsites for tents that are close to the south coast and have reasonable facilities for their cost?

As an example, I recently came back from Ecclesden Farm in Angmering (between Worthing and Littlehampton)after having to cancel a nice holiday abroad due to the recession. The cost of camping was only £7.50 per night per unit (a unit being one tent or caravan, two adults and up to three children). If an EHU is used, that costs another £2.50 per night.

Showers have plenty of very hot water and are also included in the price.

Its close to the local village pubs and shops as well as the beaches and for us, it had everything that we needed.

However, there must be other gems around the area offering the same good, clean basic facilities at a similar price? I've tried a search but there are so many sites to trawl through I ( and possibly others in my situation) would be interested in other sites that you have come across.

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!

There is a thread in the campsite section 'Camping under a fiver'.
