Has anyone got any recommendations for good tent sites in this area. hoping to visit next Spring/summer for a few days.
we live in Hull so not too far away for us but have never been and heard really good reports, could do with a playground for our 11 year old daughter but not too bothered about loads of facilities

used to be a campsite at seahouses itself, adjacent to the car park, not sure if it's still open. there are 2 commercial sites a bit further north - berwick caravan park and haggerston castle, dunno if they admit tents tho? just had a quick browse on campsite search, there are plenty to choose from, so looks like you may be spoilt for choice, enjoy it anyhow, it's a lovelly coastline

nice site a springhill farm in seahouses. My recommendation would be South Meadows at Belford. Just off the A1, but excellent position for Seahouses, Bamburgh, Holy Island and Wooler - all within 15 mins.
Cracking little site.

Have you done a search on here Jo? We were thinking of camping up there as we regularly stay at a farmhouse in the area and there are quite a few nice ones to choose from, it is beautiful, totally unspoilt beaches and some lovely places to visit. As it turned out we decided on Fforest Fields in the end, but I'd be interested to know if you find a nice site.
PS a few of us from Hull on here now

Have a look at Proctors Stead its only a short drive to Seahouses. If you are not already a member of the National Trust its weel worth joining when exploring that area. We got a great deal on the quay side at Seahouses.
Waren touring park, do not get it mixed with waren mill, it's brill, pub serving food onsite free showers, kids play area's pool, it doesn't get better
I've stayed at Annstead Farm, although it was in the bunkhouse.
There's a site just north of Beadnell on the left-hand side of the road, but I don't know how owns it.

Hi have just got back from Ord House Country Park In East Ord near Berwick upon Tweed. This is a bit further up north, but would certainly recommend the site and area. Good play ground for kids and sandpit. Went to Seahouses and did see a caravan site on the sea front maybe they do camping also. Hope you find what you want.
------------- It always rains on tents. Rainstorms will travel thousands of miles, against prevailing winds for the opportunity to rain on a tent.
