We live in the North East of England and have never been past London (I know shocking) but next year we are going to be adventurous and are looking for a campsite somewhere on the south coast. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
We have a son who will be 9 who likes riding his bike and making new friends on site in the play area - anything more than a playpark would be a bonus.
We like to be quite central to things to do but don't mind a bit of a drive or a walk to reach places.
Cheers
Jeff

Norden Farm at Corfe Castle. Not much of a 'kid's play area' but it's a working farm and kids have been known to help cows give birth so it's quite an adventure! Great site, fab location - near the steam train, walking distance to Corfe village with the castle, shops, pubs, model village, 15 mins drive to Studland with the best beaches, and Swanage, a lovely seaside town with another great beach.
The CCC site at Norman's Bay is also very nice, popular with families, and right on the shingle beach. Lovely area but fairly quiet in the immediate location though.
