If you have kids then there are loads of things to do on Angelsey.
Butterfly Farm, Open Farm, Model Village, Car Museum (with small camp site attached), Air Museum, etc, etc. We spent a week at Pothmadog earlier this year and seemed to spend half our time on Angelsey

We have been to the sea zoo several times and find it really interesting. The last time I went was on a school residential trip staying at the conway centre just down the road from the sea zoo.We had the owner acting as our guide as we walked round,I think he was a Professor of marine biology or something like that and obviously very into sea life. South stack light house is a good day out as well. As in other posts there is loads to do on Anglesey including some fantastic beaches.
Its one of those places you either love or you hate! We love it without visiting any tourist attractions. Having three dogs means we spend most of our time on the beautiful beaches or on a nice long walk. Crabbing is great too! Even in the rain lol. My youngest is there at the moment with her nan and grandad ( thery have a seasonal pitch ) and really loves going. Hope you love it as much as we do. We even go for a day out lol

When we were there in August, Alice went to the butterfly farm - with the other kids in the party, and they loved it. I was dog sitting - and Pip stayed with me. When he was told about it, he regretted not going. Crabbing off Beaumaris Pier is very popular. In May we did the boat trip to Puffin Island which was good - dogs allowed.
We went this year for the first time. Beaches are beautiful. Beaumaris town and its castle well worth a visit, crabbing off the pier was fascinating! Very easy to pop across to the mainland too, Caernarvon only a short drive with a walled town, large castle and marina etc.
