I am looking for a campsite in the North of England (mid October) either east or west it doesnt matter. It needs to be family friendly and within easy walking distance to a village/town that has a couple of decent pubs that serve good food. Too much to choose from on the campsite search so decided to pick the brains of my fellow campers. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
We're just back from Seahouses in Northumberland (Springhill Farm). Really lovely and weather fantastic! Easy to reach - down the A1. We walked everywhere - about 1mile to town and beach. I've posted a review but not up yet.
What about Highburn House in Wooler, I've never stayed there as I live in the area but Wooler itself would meet your needs and is a lovely little town.

Thanks everyone for the advice. Will look into all these options over the weekend and hopefully get something booked. Roll on our trip now. Fingers crossed the weather is fine
