I'm trying to organise a get together on another forum. People will be coming from all over the UK. We are after somewhere suitable for families, smallish with a few statics (for the chicken's who won't sleep in a tent!).

I'm thinking the south, but haven't a clue where to start. It needs to be quite central so make it easy for everyone to get to - so Cornwall is out :(

Can anyone reccommend any sites to look into? I was thinking perhaps Wiltshire, Somerset or Hampshire?!

Thanks

f that doesn't suit try Hobourne Cotswolds.  It's on cotswolds water park and pretty central for Swindon, Cheltenham, Gloucester etc.

You mention Wiltshire & Hampshire the one side and Somerset the other.  What about Wood Farm in Dorset - somewhere in the middle.  It's not cheap, but it is a lovely site.

Thinking again - I'm not sure if there are any statics here - you would need to check this out.

If people are coming from all over the Uk, wouldn't it be better to make it somewhere in the Borders ? Somerset/Dorset/Hampshire all a massive distance to travel for anyone farther North than the South of Scotland. 17

Yep, I get what you're saying, but the scotish lot seem to be made of sterner stuff and are happy to travel down south, many would have been happy with Cornwall!

Besides, the weather is (suppossed to be) better down here ;)

I see ! Must say as long as I was able to afford the diesel I'd be rather happy with Cornwall myself. Not been there in a long time but I loved it. Hope you all have a great time 17
