We've had a couple of looks around the Dacre Lakes caravan park in East Yorkshire, and are very tempted to go on the waiting list for a seasonal pitch.

I think that there may be one or two people on here who have a seasonal pitch on this site, and I would be grateful for any feedback they might have. The reviews are fairly old, apart from one which refers to the camping area, so any up-to-date info would be appreciated.

I have a seasonal pitch at Dacre. We've been there since Easter and absolutly love it. It's quiet and relaxing. We have 2 kids and there is loads for them to do There are always other kids around for them to make friends During the summer the lake is buzzing ,kids learning to windsurf canoeing and generally just chilling

The couple who run it are lovely easy going and very friendly. There is a small clubhouse where a few go for few beers kids have a pool table The drinks and crisps and sweets for the kids are very reasonably priced

There are various things planned over the year such as Easter parade, Summer Party, Halloween Party and Xmas Party.

We have put our name down for next year again the facilities are excellent Spotless shower and laundrey room. I can highly recommend it

Your comments have made me even more determined to try to get a seasonal pitch at Dacre!! It sounds fantastic

There's a waiting list, so I will  be gutted if we don't get on next season now!
