Does anyone know of campsites that offer touring pitches with loo and shower facilities as well as self catering/caravan/lodges etc. in good walking areas of Britain. We do not want all singing/all dancing sites, just clean and basic.
We are a small walking group and two of us have campervans, one has a tent but two others want more comfortable indoor accommodation - caravan would be fine.
I have tried telling them that camping is fun but they don't believe me!!

Without knowing what part of the country you are interested in; considerPond Farm, North Norfolk or look up Camping & Caravanning Club sites that have logdes.
there must be lots around the Lakes that have B&B in the same village or right next door to the camp site - if not in the farm house with the camp site - sorry non spring to mind just now

Loads of sites especially in Lake District and Peak District have bunk house accommodation. Also, in Scotland all the great 'walkers' sites have bunkhouse accommodation and/or timber huts.
Cote Ghyll in Osmotherley (North Yorkshire) will fit the bill perfectly. They accept all units and also have a small static caravan area with vans you can hire.
Beautiful area of the country (not that I'm biased!) with loads of good walking and stunning scenery.
