For the first time ever we are venturing to the South East of the country on our holidays. have never been this way except on our way France for the Ferry! We want to be somewhere with good cycling and have seen on the cycling network that there are good no traffic cycle routes from Bexhill through to Bognor and in land about 15 miles. Have had a look at the reviews and really fancy Kloofs but has anyone else got any recommendations?
Thanks
Liz

I used to use the CC site at Slinfold a lot. No facilities, but excellent cycling on disused railway line and good pubs / restaurants nearby. Recommend the walk to the 'Blue Ship' - good food and beer.
I used to visit the Hidden Spring vineyard a lot - excellent - one of the best English vineyards.
I can confirm Hidden Spring is gorgeous and very much the English orchard/campsite experience. Really lovely site.

Do you know I only just noticed you are from Crosby - know it very well, have lots of friends in that area and used to live there myself!
There is no EHU at the site - they do however have a yurt with a stove, £100 I think for the weekend!
We camped in our own tent in March, took my daughter and her little friend it is great for kids. We had a real fire but lots of condensation in our tent. I now have a bell tent for winter camping to eliminate that. I would think you need to have lots of (obviously) warm clothing and bedding but certainly doable and a very quiet site for the S.E. (where there is no peace at all!) It is the quietest site I have been to in my entire camping career!
It is fantastic for cycling, the girls took their bikes and the cuckoo trail will meet all your needs. Good luck hope you like it!

Tanner Farm caravan and camping site and then you can cycle at Bedgebury where there are some good cycling tracks for various abilities. You do have to pay to park but there is a small cafe with fabulous homemade cakes!! There is also a bike hire shop.
