Just outside Hawes, within walking distance. Four really nice pubs that sell real ale. Nice olde worlde shops. Loads of other sights to see in the area. Including Middleham and Bolton Castles, Aysgarth falls, Ripleys believe it or not (Must book b4), Masham breweries both have visitor centres (Theakston and Black Sheep), Brimore Ice cream. Then of course there is the great outdoors, loads of fells all around. We have been twice and can't wait to go back.

Moreton in Marsh in the Cotswolds is great, it is a cc site, clean, well spaced out, fantastic facilities, a nice stroll 5 - 10 mins into the most beatiful small town, tuesday street market. Just lovely.

Moreton in Marsh gets my recommendation as well. Great site with lots to do in the area for both couples and families.
Quite agree with that, but that is a Caravan Club site, the OP asked for C&CC sites I thought. In the Caravan Club there are also Grassington and Bolton Abbey, which are great for walking, but hadn't mentioned them as they aren't C&CC sites.

Yes, sorry you are right, I read it quickly as CC sites. I must pay more attention!
We have stayed at Damage Barton, Eskdale, Teversal, Scarborough, Clitheroe, Kendal, Bala, St David's, Hayfield and Troutbeck. My favourites were Eskdale and Teversal.
This year we have booked Windermere and Winchcombe, can't wait!!

We really liked Corfe. Lovely wooded site and we were tucked away in a corner with great privacy. Lovely walk from site to Corfe village with the magnificant castle and several pubs!!

Really like Keswick, but also left it too late to book for Whitsun, so have booked Eskdale - It has great reviews and is good for walking. Just have to be a lot more disciplined with the provisions - won't be able to send the children round to Booths for any treats!
Other C&CC sites we have used have also been great so I don't think I'd ever be disappointed.
