I was just wondering what peoples opinions are of Park Resorts sites. I just got a brochure through today.

We camped (tent) with them a few years ago over bank holiday in Kessingland and have mixed feelings about it. The good facilities were spoiled by the thoughtlessness of some other campers (not PR's fault) but the pitch we stayed on was awful partly because of the awful weather prior to our trip, but I've never seen a pitch so bad, we had to navigate around mini swamps!

Now we are in a caravan the facility issue wouldn't arise (I adore my end washroom) but are there other considerations?

We have stayed at Nodes Point (Isle of Wight) several times.  The touring pitches are not too close to the Clubhouse and there is a warden on the touring site.  We were not disturbed by noisy neighbours - although this was the end of September.

The facilities are excellent - a fairly new block - and the beach is just outside the gate. The pitches are a good size, although the non EHU area is sloping in places.

we've stayed at nodes point a few times and loved it - well away from the entertainment and right by the beach if camping, gorgeous views of the bay - blissful!

However I got the brochure through also and the prices were for pitches 6mx6m and the prices were a lot more than we paid 2 years ago so would put me off a bit, we paid £20 per night and our tent is 6.5metres but you can usually bargain with park resorts on the price.

Not our style at all. I would rather stay at our local recycling centre. Far too busy far too commercial far too many people.
