We dont need any singing and dancing sites just EHU: Showers:Relaxation

Hi, Yorkshire covers a VERY large area, you might wish to specify which areas you are interested in, North, South, West, or what you want to be close to, coast, countryside.
hi sennen. well yorkshire is a huge camping site. if you want to be near the coast. there are lot of places to choose from. if you dont have children. i would advise hooks house farm. at robin hoods bay. bit of a climb down to the harbour. but its a lovely place. some pubs for meals. gift shops.one good food shop. nice chippie. and if you want to go to whitby or scarborough. the bus is right outside the camp site. only facilities on the site are spotlessly clean showers. and the same for toilets. and a great view. shop about 15 minutes walk. there are a few places where the film heartbeat. but the bar sure likes to rip you off for the price of a pint. it is about 5 miles to whitby. and about 18 to scarborough. over to the west there is skipton. lot of sites there. and there are a fwew near to york city. plus one that is in the city itself. 5 mins walk. there are a few camp sites in scarborough as well. all worth a try. ok. happy holidays to you.
Serenity Is a lovely site right on the coast just north of Whitby Handy for the Yorkshire Moors Scarborough Whitby Saltburn Redcar even Middlesbrough and York are within easy driving distance
The site itself is very quiet with a pub right outside the gate 2 more elswhere in the village fish and chip shop only 100yds away showers/toilets are kept clean at all times and the staff and owners couldn't be more helpful It has 66 reviews on here so it must be good

sennen. i dont know if it has EHU. also serenity is a nice place as well. bus there too from whitby. also the bus for hooks house. it is only every two hours. maybe three. there is another camp site near by. about half a mile. in fylingdale. and it has more in it. but for peace and quiet. yes its hooks house. if you have a car. thats even better. at the fylingdale camp you can walk down to the bay as well. and a shop nearby for food. as with all camp site on the sea front areas. it can be windy. but hooks has a little protection . i dont know if you are backpacking or have a car. or caravette. may be worth calling hooks to see if they have the EHU. also it is cheap to camp there. could be £8 a person now. my son and i went in june 08. £6 each. it is also quiet at night. and i loved that. apart from my son. he said i snored each night. yet i never snore at home. ha. all the fresh air.
i just seen your profile sennen. so you are walking. not sure how you are travelling there. if it is train. you get the train to whitby from middlesborough. bus outside the station for hooks house. or from scarborough. bus outside the station. i am not sure. but i think the number was 93. and there was two busses 93. and 93a. 93a went to hooks. i think arriva is the bus company. but you may be able to down load a time table like my son did. in the camp people seen us with it. before we new it. we were bus times giver out people. so funny. they were coming from all over as word got round we had the times. we felt like bus inspectors. so hide it if ya get one down loaded. or you may find yourself working. without pay . lol. i would think the best route from where you are coming from would be the train from york to scarborough. train every hour from york. takes about 1 hour to get there.
We will be driving to Yorkshire - we will be doing lots of walking when we get there
The Serenity Site looks good too - dont know which one to go for now
Broadings Farm in Whitby is small, quiet, 20 minutes walk from Whitby centre and ideal for walking.
High Rigg Farm in the Dalby Forest near Pickering is my favourite! Right in the middle of the forest and excellent for cycling. About half an hours drive to Whitby and near to Flamingo Land.
Boroughbridge site is lovely too, right next to a river and near to Knaresborough. Fantastic toilet/shower/washing facilities and really well kept.
Hope you have a good time!!!
