whitecliff bay holiday park is in a good situation if you like the beach

me and the daughter walked round the island camping and this was the nicest site we stayed at

Adgestone is split into small areas and doesn't feel at all big when you are there.  Its a lovely site.

so far all of the sites mentioned are pretty commercial , there are quite a few more basic ones, that are more suited - stoats farm, freshwater; comforts farm, northwood; dairymans daughter cottage, arreton;roebeck farm, upton (ryde) and loads more!

i think its a bit difficult to say whch one is the best on the island, unless you have camped at all of them, and as someone who has only camped on the island, i certainly havent done half of them !!

we have used pondwells . you can walk along the beach front from the campsite into ryde.

cant remember the name of the other small village if you went the other way along the beach

there is also a bus stop outside the site

There are two sets of toilet blocks. maybe a bit old fashioned but were clean and working, and free

when we went we were escorted to the pitch and advised about best way to park the van to get the best of the sun.

no hard pitches.

all welcome

we enjoyed the stay and if returning to iow would consider going back there

there was a pub but not part of the site. didnt cause any problems, in way of noise.
