Stayed here a couple of years ago with grandchildren and it was ideal for the theme park. Even though we didn't use the showers etc. and the campsite was just OK. I have just looked at the website and they now have EHU and you can book in advance. Only downside is it is now £25 a night with EHU. Does anyone know if they have changed the campsite, (marked pitches, new facilities etc.

If you look at the campsite search facility on this site (enter Drayton Manor as name of site) there are 23 reviews. I've not been to the site myself but if you read these I'm sure you'll be able to compare the current facilities to those you remember and therefore see if they've improved it at all.

When we stayed last year the said the site would
be moved down the hill away from the trees and would be all marked out pitches with ehu etc. Must go for a visit as it's only down the road

The reviews are from last year, thats why I posted on here, the new prices etc are from March 2010 so thats why I wondered if they have changed it during the close season.

Bobsbabes, it would be interesting to know if thats what they have done. They don't seem to be offering cut price entry now though if you stay on the campsite (which they did do before, and made it a good deal)

yeah its a huge leap in price and as you say the discount for entrance was really handy too

I suppose that really no one wil lknow what it is like till March when it opens

It may be better to pitch somewhere localy to drayton if their prices have rocketed.What you save on the pitch prices can be offset against the entrance fee to the park

We always stay at c &cc Kingsbury water park site for Drayton Manor.

Its just a few miles away and has the benefit of being next door to the water park.

It also a top site with immaculate facilites like most club sites.

There is also Marston Caravan site. Has good reviews and is by Kingsbury Water Park without beiung a Club site.

Always looks very inviting when I pass it but its a bit too near to home - Daryton Manor is practically at the end of my road!

C&CC site is just down the road at Kingsbury.Probably cheaper than the one at DM and you've got the added benefit of Kingsbury water Park next door.

Apparently they have moved the campsite and are adding better facilities etc, the old campsite will have a hotel built on it.
