It depends upon what you want from a site and what you want to do. If you are happy with a site where you have to use your own facilities, and you want to be able to set off from the van in the morning and walk then you will find that CC Low manesty is gods gift to caravnners. The setting is stunning in the woods at the bottom end of derwentwater, walk out of the gate at the bottom of the site right onto the lakeside walks. Go out of the front gate and straight up cat bells, or walk down to Grange and then down Borrowdale. Lots and lots of walks.
We do not do a lot of walking but find the site a wonderland of red squirrels, birds, and other wildlife. Plus we can easily find somewhere to go within easy drives to enough places so that we can find a fresh place to go every day for a fortnight.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
