there's nothing wrong with billing, lots of room , pick your own pitch, pub and club on site lakes for fishing, had some good weekends there, there will probably be some kind of rally on at easter and car boot sale on sunday
just read all the reveiws on billing and looks like i will be eating my words on my last thread, we went in the eighties and could'nt fault it seems like things have changed there, and after reading the reviews, i dont think i will be going again. PITY.
Hi this site did have a lot of bad reviews on here, but we went about 3 years ago and found it really good.. Mind you we were lucky to get a decent size pitch some of them are really packed together tho. Hope you have a good time.
------------- Easter...Shallow Grange
May Day.. Teversal
May Bank Holiday...Longleat
July... Penrhos Anglesey
August... Treveague Farm
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Risk it - if it is bad after a couple of nights then you can call it a day and go home, but will at least be able to explain to the kdis why you are leaving early,
I've had a quick scan through the umpteen posts for Billing Aquadrome, but not yet heard mention of the neighbouring sewerage works. Regardless of opinions on the site's facilities, the smell is atrocious - just pray the wind isn't heading in your direction. It pervades everything - hair, clothes and tent. I used to live 3 miles away, and during hot days it would regularly reach us.
Just something to bear in mind when considering this place.
------------- Tents : Outwell Nevada M, Outbound Oberon 3, Outbound Sierra 1, Pro Action Hike Lite 1.
Be interested in some feedback as well as this site is 'local' to us and would make a good weekend break, but always been put off by the reviews (and by day trips on BHs)
We have avoided it like the plague after driving in to have a look a few years ago - so many bad reports on it however on local TV they were there as a new leisure facility including pool has opened.
