Looks like I will be working in the scarborough area, from mid april for approx 8 months. Looking for a small ish quiet campsite cheapish that doesnt mind long term stays, pref with toilet block but will use own facilities onboard if not on site. can anyone suggest anywhere or any farms that will let me stay. oh hook up would be really handy. cheers
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Wolds way is nice and they do storage as well so if you're not there all the time you might save some money - it's on the A64 between Malton & Scarborough
------------- Wouldn't it be great if schools and hospitals had all the money they needed and the Army had to hold jumble sales to buy guns!
Depending which side of Scarborough you are on, how about Saxdale House at Hunmanby, approx 10 miles from Scarborough.
This is a small site and very reasonably priced, they have a mixed tent/rally field, which also does caravan storage, touring pitches and regulars who are pitched permanently.

I was going to post this very site last night but then though of the daily run into Scarborough every day - not that far but can be very busy (we used the park and ride)
Can highly recommend the site though.
Another one that's a good priced site is near the roundabout into Scarborugh - Spittal Farm. It is a field for C&CC members and a big (rally) field for non-members and think it was only about £8 in there.
It's a really nice site and the owner is really friendly.
We phoend when we foudn it because it looked like it was members only but it's not at all.
It's near enough Hunmanby (but far enough away) which has what you would want including a nice Deli and fruit shop.It has fish and chips and chinese - should you be so inclined, chemist, 2 newsagents and a coop as well as a Drs should you need it (we did - twice)
Would also recommend having a drive down to Hunmanby Gap, which is a fantastic stretch of beach of the superb and sublime Filey Bay.
Me, the girls and the dog walked from here to Speeton cliffs last Sunday, beautiful day and only past a handful of dog walkers/couples/families, eventually walking so far there weren't any footprints in the sand!
A helicopter even landed at the far end before lifting off again, cool or what.
And don't forget a little foray into Filey for your doughnuts and candyfloss on the beach:)
