Hi , this year we are thinking of going to pembrokshire in august, for a change, every august we end up in cornwall,as we love it ,but we need a change. Can anyone reccommend any nice sites, i have been looking around , but none seem to jump out at me. The site needs to be near the coastal path, and must be pretty ,as we like to sit outside alot ,large roomy pitches , maybe pitches just around the sides of a field, not bothered with entertainment,we do not want to use the car all the time ,so must be able to walk to places from the site . If it is possible in august  , a quiet ,roomy site, not to busy.     Thanks

Have a look at the CC site at Freshwater East, the beach is just across the road as is the Pembrokeshire coast path. You can walk to Manorbier/Tenby to the east or to Barafundle (via the NT tearoom!) to the west.

Typical CC site, big pitches, quiet, excellent amenity blocks, pub at top of the hill does food, real ale and the beer garden has stunning views across the bay.

Love it.

we like Mill house near saundersfoot, quiet clean site. 15 min walk to the beach, and pub, which is right on the beach, and walks each way to saundersfoot, and tenby. Very pretty area.  Penny

You will not go far wrong with either of the CC sites in Pembrokeshire.  NIcer scenery at Lleithri Meadow but closer to the beach at Freshwater.

If you want an out of the way spot with incredible views, coast path runs along the edge of the site, great walks (even to the harbour for day trips to Skomer) then try West Hook, nr St Marloes. Very clean medium to basic facilities. Unisex toilets / wash basins, but separate showers.  A very friendly site.

Hi, there are two sites just outside St Davids, Caerfai Organic farm and Caerfai bay camping and caravan park. They are opposite each other at the end of a lane that ends at the coastal path. We have stayed on both, they have fantastic views, the coastal path is literally next to them, there is a bay/beach below the sites, the farm sells organic bacon and it is a short walk up the lane into St Davids. We have spent two very memorable holidays here and loved it. They are both reviewed on this site - have a look.
