Me and 7 friends want to go camping at the end of june after finishing exams. we will all be 16 and i know lots of sites are very strict about under 18s staying but does anyone know any campsites around the derbyshire area that do or might be willing to accept a group of 16 year old girls? we wouldnt be disruptive. thankyou :)

Theres a lovely YHA centre at 'Eyam' in the peak district (not sure if that's how you spell it). In a beautiful setting. Might be worth contacting them for advice.

I may be wrong (hope I am) but I think at least one of the party needs to be over 18 as the campsite cant enter into a contract (officially) with a minor .

You may have a point there Stew about contracts with minors.

However Alice, don't despair, try the campsite suggested, or any others in your local area, and see if they'll accept you if your parents/guardians are willing to sign a guarantee with the campsite It may be worth a try. Good luck (for the camping and the exams)!
