Hi, for reasons I won't go into we are going to have a lot of location flexibility for a year or two, and one thing that occurred to us is that it would provide a nice opportunity to see the country slowly. Basically, perhaps rent static caravans in a series of places.
I was wondering if anyone has had experience with longer-term rentals of static caravans. Since we wouldn't have to get back home quickly we could stay in the one place for a month or even more. We've looked at prices online, but could we plausibly expect any significant kind of discount for staying longer?
Similarly, is there a good place to locate deals/offers? As we wouldn't have to be in any particular part of the country at any particular time, we could happily just follow the deals, if we could find a good place to look for them.
Any insights anyone could offer on related issues would be most welcome.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
Can't really help but sounds fab. I know many places offer second week discount so may offer you more for longer term. Maybe go direct to the sites you fancy as they will be more flexible than the major companies.

Try Haven, they usually offer last minute deals, there is also Hoeseasons, who deal with lots of privately owned sites for statics, cottages etc. Very often the local newspaper has privately rented statics in their adverts, and these are usually cheaper. Not sure about web sites like last minute.com, but you could look them up.
