I know its a bit late as the season has started but I'm looking for a family friendly seasonal pitch in Wales if anyone knows of any going.

Thanks.

Hia

Are you sorted yet? I think there's room on my site. Appeared to be a couple of empty pitches on the weekend (though they might have gone for servicing). Gower Villa Touring Park (they have 12 excellent reviews on here). Its in a village called Clynderwen, just outside Narberth. Small, friendly site. Owners are great, can't do enough for you. Dog friendly, PAYG wi-fi, small play area for the kids. Not that many kids on site (I have 2 girls of 11 and 9) but they like it. Very clean facilities, and they have a little reception hut with books and magazines.

In the village (5 minutes walk along the lane) there's a lovely pub, a railway station and a spar. It was £1100 for this season (1st March - 1st November).

Hi Karen,

Thanks for the tip; I have contacted them and yes they said they still have space. We've been up to Brecon this weekend so are going to call down to GVP next Sunday to see what its like. My daughter is 7 years old and sometimes brings her friend so as long as there is a play park I'm happy; is there much room for them to cycle around and also is it true there is only 1 shower?

Thanks,
Denise

Hi

We have just had a pitch become available due to family circumstance with a customer who has found they can no longer stay.  It is a hardstand pitch with ehu in the 'family seasonal' area of our site.

Kind Regards

Liz

Hi Denise

Do you have Google earth? If you zone in on Clynderwen village you can see it clearly on the right hand side. You'll be able to get an idea of how big it is. To me its not a big site, but I came from Wood Office in Cold Blow. Their site had huge fields and loads of room to play, but I'd still rather be on our site because the owners are so much friendlier and easier going. I was on Wood Office for 4 years and am SO glad I moved. (we've been on Gower Villa one season).

Yes there is only one (very spacious) shower, but there's very rarely a queue for it. From 1st May to 1st October we can leave the big awning up and we have 16amps that's in with the price.

The bottom of the park/tent field has a wild bit with trees and a stream, the kids love to trample about over there in their wellies!

The only thing they don't allow is washing lines, but they have a rotary for use by anyone. They have a washer and a drier but I just take a few extra clothes.
