We're hoping to go away for a couple of nights in May and want to go to the Landmark Theme park. So far, any campsites I've found in the area cost around £24 a night (2 adults and 2 kids) . Would love to keep costs down as we're going for our mai camping holiday July/Aug and I'd like to get away for the odd night or 2 during the holidays as well.

We're using Tesco clubcard vouchers for our Landmark tickets so it could work out quite a cheap break away!

Boat of Garten Holiday park takes tents and is quite reasonable, just a few minutes away from Landmark.

I've stayed at Rothiemurchus and Glenmore a couple of years ago.  Both lovely sites and near Landmark.  Not sure what their prices are now, but they'll come up if you do a search

Other ones you could try are Dalraddy (A couple of miles south of Aviemore) and High Range.
Have only tried Dalraddy - I found Glenmore to be expensive.

Glenmore is now very expensive - we spent an overnight en-route up North last year and it was about £25 for small camper, 2 people and dog.  Admin charge, weekend supplement, one night supplement etc.   I loved the site but don't think I'd go back because of the pricing system.

Hi,

We usually stay at Grantown on Spey when we go to Landmark. Going again in July. Site has excellent facilities, very good / safe play area too. Can be expensive but worth a look, I think.

Cheers, Alex

We have stayed at Rothiemurchus on the Ski road several times with both caravan and tent.Hook up for caravans but not for tents last time we stayed there. It is quite basic for tents but all the better for it.I.M.H.O

The newer toilet block is excellent and you are on the doorstep of some of the best walking area in Scotland for all levels of fitness.

Like others say,Glenmore is expensive and we found Highrange had very hard stony ground, you would need good tent pegs.

Can thoroughly recommend Landmark,we took our 3 grandaughters and they and we had a brillant day..

Check Rothiemurchus as they are doing some alterations.

Landmark is great for the kids.  Glenmore is beautiful - too dear but we still go cos where else is there an inland beach next to a loch you can do watery things on, in a wood with red squirrels, near the Cairngorm mountain - aah - we usually go this time of year but we're off to Italy tomorrow - so we'll be seeing some bigger mountains but I think we are going to have to go up to Glenmore in the summer as I am missing it already......make sure your kids do all three of the rides when you're in the park - the slides I mean - great fun.  Are you going to the Highland Wildlife Park as well - that's fab too....
