This summer is the first time im driving with a trailer so im travelling this year to the east coast (not too far), flamborough area (Where my heart belongs) i love the coves, small beaches and rock pools and caves, plus my kids do too.

Im thinking of trying down Cornwall/Devon next year as i have never been there, yes ive done a search but theres so so many to check out (Europe the year after perhaps)

So can anyone recommend a site with similar sort of area expecially with a pub in walking distance (and kids arn't thrown out at 9pm!)

Must admit it does look a nice site plus chance of a UKCS meet.. tempted though the wife is shy at that sort of thing except when shes had a drink

The reason Scottish beaches are so empty is that the Atlantic is bloody cold that far North.

We went to Morar last year, and as you approached is was like a scene from the med. Silver sands and a turquoise sea with  yatch moored just off shore.  I got no further than dipping my toes in.... the water was ice cold.. in JULY.
