As usual we have not booked anything for Mayday Bank Hol and we are now waiting for other people to cancel their Caravan Club pitch so that we can book it.

Just missed Chatsworth by seconds!

surely May Day isnt usually as busy as the Spring Bank hols at the end of May - there must be lots of places to go

Thanks Ratty,I`ll have a look.

No Pool, the Caravan Club fills up really quickly north of Brum,more places than you can shake a stick at down south.

For a 3 night break the southern sites are too far.

After all my panicking we managed to get 3 nights at Low Park Wood in Cumbria.

Only fly in the ointment is the reviews say you struggle to get satalite reception and the Rugby is on

Nice site, we stayed there Mayday BH 2 years ago (cos it has spaces a week before).

This year we are going with some others to Deers Glade (where our friends wanted to stay 2 years ago). But they are all booked up now

But if you plug into the sockets that are on the bollard the freeview signal is excellent.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
