Right having just about exhausted sites in Yorkshire with no success, considering going over the Humber Bridge and into Lincolnshire, can anyone recommend any nice sites please.

Lincolnshire Lanes, about 7 miles north of Lincoln. In the middle of nowhere, very peaceful and relaxing. See the 47 reviews, mine was the first one. I sometimes wish I'd kept quiet about that one!

We went to look at 2 in Woodhall Spa at the weekend.
The first was Bainland, which was a bit too big and busy for us (as well as expensive - £45 a night for a tent at bank holiday), but there are alot of reviews on here and people do like it...it depends what you want.
We then went to look at Jubilee Park. More basic (but a lot cheaper), but great space for kids to play and a great outdoor heated swimming pool. Not many reviews on here, but it looks fine to us. You can walk into Woodhall in about 5 minutes and a great range of shops and pubs.
Lots of nice sites here in Lincolnshire. Obviously the closer to the coast you get the busier it will be :) For a guess the smaller the better :) Woodhall is nice, a lovely town with local amenities and a good base for day trips out! Depends what you want from a holiday really. But the wolds are beautiful, some nice little hideaway places to find, stockwith mill, harrington hall, real tennyson country :)
What we want from the holiday is pretty much irrelevent to be quite honest, we just want a nice, level site with good sized pitches (new tent is 6 x 4m) and good, clean facilities. It's just a case of finding somewhere not too far to travel to try out the new tent before our main two week holiday in summer. A nice area would be a bonus but it's not essential.

Thanks very much, eventually managed to get ourselves a site with availability in Yorkshire and only 20 mins from home, but lots of nice ideas for the future in this thread!
