Hi all,

Would anyone recommend a good campsite on the I.O.W??

We have stayed at Nodes Point previously (Camp Resorts) and whilst I like being close to the beach it means close to the gales when they come in and they always do and I'm not a fan of sleeping on the slope (big slope at Nodes Point unless you have hook up) !

We like....clean showers and toilets - I do love a new toilet block! I love flat, well drained and sheltered - who doesn't! We love a playground as we are 2 adults and 3 children.

We do not love - sea views - the sea views are to die for but too many nights camping in major wind straight off the sea have ruined the sea views!

I do not need entertainment, pool etc but can ignore it for the right campsite.

Lastly I do love Ventnor, Sandown, Shanklin side of I.O.W but know I am being plain old greedy now!

Any recommendations would be so appreciated!

We stayed at Whitefield Forest in 2008 and it was superb - we have a caravan but they do take tents.

The loos and showers are awesome, probably some of the best in the country.

Here Here, we have also stayed at Whitefield Forest and can't fault it, shower's and toilets always clean, and the owners so helpful.
