Can second Cotswold Hoburne, would be very handy for you too, so if your unlucky with the weather(always a big worry if in a tent) its not to far home!
And don't take pets. I made that mistake & had to drive home with our dog after setting up.

My parents are in their 60's too and only started camping 3 years ago, after we eventually talked them into coming with us. I too was looking for a really nice site for their fist trip to make a good impression. We decided on Keswick Camping & Caravaning Club site as all there site tend to have lovely clean facilities and I knew this would be an important factor for my Mum! She loved it and now can't wait to go! I'd have never of though 5 years ago Mum would ever be into camping!
I notice you are in the B'ham area, I can highly recommend Kingsbury Water Park (a C&CC site also) for a first trip without going too far, the shower blocks are quite new, heated and always spotless, it's one of our favourite sites!

My husband is 62 and I'm 49. We bought our first ever tent last year. Our very first expedition was to Stanmore Hall, Bridgnorth, Shropshire. Gorgeous!!!
