Hi

I am looking for a site in or around Malham Cove that takes caravans and has electric hookup, the three I have seen on hear dont appear to have rave reviews?

I've just stayed at a cracking CL just the other side of Settle- Layhead Farm in Rathmell.  Highly recommended.

There is a good CL at Seat House listed under Skipton which is very close to malham.

Do i have to be a member of the caravan club to use a CL site ?

Yes, you may be able to join the CC at the site, ask when you phone or email, best to book in advance.

There are two campsites in or near Malham though they are fairly basic but well worth a vist for a short stay.

Townhead Farm (01729 830287) is a small site more suitable for small tents on the road out of the village towards the Cove & the Tarn. This is handy for the village pub which does great food.

Goredale is the other site which can take Caravans & larger tents. You camp at the mouth of Goredale itself & few sites anywhere can have such a spectacular view when you open up your tent first thing in the morning.
