Now you mention it I remember they have one.
Haven't seen any mention of a 2010 one - we are bikers as well and are often in Hawes (at Penny Garth cafe where the bikers go) though only been once this year and haven't seen any flyers yet. It's usually fist weekend in July isn't it?

There's often something at Dent as well if I remember right.

Dent music and beer festival

OH is asking his Commis Chef about Hawes Bash (he lives in Hawes)

He says yes it's on but he's not sure when - he though 20th June but????? that's a Sunday and earlier than every other year.

The Dentdale festival above is on 25 -27 June and there's camping at it.

Just had a look at the Dent website - looks fab - but we are at Blackpool Mag Rally that weekend! Can't find any info at all about the Hawes one though.

There seems to be one at Sedburgh over the same weekend as Dent - shame they're both on at the same time!

Not been to Bakewell - just came across it by accident on the book of face social networking site.

I'll get OH to get John to find out about Hawes - and have a look myself if you venture that way on Monday (hoping the dry weather holds)or phone my friend (Cumbria Classic Coaches) and see if they know anyting.

didn't know they did one in Sedburgh.

lol now I see - I wondered why the Dent Folk Festival had become Dentdale .....

It's a shame they are very near each other. I wonder if there was a falling out of organisers somewhere along the lines. Looking at the Sedburgh line up The Wierd String Band are very good.

there's another one in Kendal but I can't think what they call it.
In the past there's been something in Kirkby Stephen too but I think funding dried up and put paid to it - Nine Standards Music Festival

Went to Hawes today and the midsummer Bash is on def on - 10th July according to the poster in the cafe.
There wasno mention of a web site for details just a mobile contact number for the organiser - sorry didn't have a pen or paper to write it down - you could phone the Dales museum as there's tourist info desk there and they would know more.

Sorry I may not have fully got the jist of this thread but pretty much all festivals will have camping of some sorts and most will allow caravans,all be it in limited numbers...

We were at Acoustic festival of Britain at Uttoxeter lasts weekend and at Bearded Theory at Ashbourne the weekend before that!

Thanks pepe63. It started out with a request for "permanent" camp sites which have live music but there doesn't appear to be any except the Crows Nest near Scarborough! Then it developed into a discussion about festivals and now with help from the posts on here, I have started looking and there are hundreds, lots of them on the website you linked to - cheers.

If you are still looking for sites with entertainment, Shaw Hall near Southport has regular live entertainment (not always bands though). Its also a really nice club.

Sorry - I did realise that's what OP was asking for but as their location was North Yorks (and had Richmond listed in their camping venues) I though some of the events around Cumbria would be of interest and within travelling distance for weekends.
Plus I think they did ask for live music places that had campsites near as well (like Acoustic Tearooms at TheMasonic in Kirkby Stephen)

By the way Keely, if you are thinking about checking out Richmond Live, there is no camping at the festival - we are staying at Scotch Corner - you can get the bus right outside the camp or a cab ;-)

Richmond is only about half an hours drive from us

Less on the bike - would just need to loose the children for the night
