right here we go, we have just come back from Humble Bee Farm and we thought it was great and now we need another site as good for our August break, we also love Vale of Pickering camp site.

We are wanting nice and clean toilet/shower facilities, and wash area.

A play area for kids.

Flat pitches and not on a rally field.

We are not bothered about a club/pub or a cafe/restaurant.

Just a nice place for kids to make friends and play and us to relax.

All within 2 hours of home (Leeds).

now as said before we love Vale of Pickering and Humble Bee Farm if you have been to either of these you will know the sort of site we want. HELP US PLEASE

Try Cote Ghyll at Osmotherley, its a great site. We live in Leeds and it's easy to get to.

Hi. We also have young kids and love Cote Ghyll. It is smaller than Vale of Pickering and we prefer it. The play area isnt as big but is sufficient plus there is a sand pit. The stream i didnt think was a problem really, it does run through the middle of the site but most pitches do not back on to it but it is also great for paddling in with nets but some parts are deeper than others. The facilities are really good and clean. There are 2 toilet blocks one is next to the camping fields but the fields are not big so you are very close and the playarea is in viewing distance of most camping pitches as it tends to be in the middle of the camping area. The toilets and play area are closer to the pitches than at pickering. Overall its a great site. Hope this helps.
