It's certainly not the cheapest site around, but must rank as one of the nicest we've visited - thats Townsend Touring at Pembridge, Leominster. No club, but nice play area. Farm shop, central small lake with duck & goose. It is a working farm and the farm shop has it's own butchery - wonderful selection of meat/burgers/sausage etc. Run by a lovely family - so helpful. For those in a caravan you can have your own water hookup and waste, on grass or hardstanding. Large site, but individual pitches are some of the largest I haver seen. I've already said too much - the reviews on here say it all.

My geography isnt that good so I dont know if this is any where near where you want to be but we stayed at this one last year. Its just outside Shrewsbury and a really nice site. http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=4407

Thanks for all the help, look some lovely sites, please keep the help flowing, I am more interested in peace and quiet away from it all than amenities although a shower and toilet are esential, thanks again!

I got a quote for £11 at this site (Ty Newydd) for my large tent and 2 adults and 5 kids. Prices started at £5. My friend in work stays here quite a bit and it's in a beautiful location but back to basics!
Good luck with your search.
