I didn't realise how early one had to book before a bank holiday to find a campsite that had spaces, and think I've probably left it too late. However...

I'm trying to find a space on a campsite anywhere in East Anglia, which has an electric hookup for a small two person tent. I've tried all of the availability sites, and can't find anything and I've been ringing around today without much luck. Does anybody know any other methods? Do camp site owners read these boards?

When we left it too late last August BH we gave up in UK and went over to Seeland in Holland, just north of the Belgian border. Loads of campsites. No problem booking or just turning up. Probably not a BH there either. Travel overnight to get a cheap ferry ticket.

Thanks to all for suggestions. Unfortunately, I saw the last one too late.

After frantic searching today, I found a site at Great Yarmouth at their Wild Duck site. It cost £104 and that's only for 3 nights. Am hoping that there might be a space once we're there so we can stay on Sunday night, but we may have to go home early (hopefully not!)

I've learned my lesson though....
