Someone on hear said that Broadway House has had a refurb. We went about 6 years ago (for a short stay during one of the 'holidays') - we found it very crowded and wasn't overly impressed - we just felt that it wasn't well looked after - certainly more of a 'commercial venture' than a friendly, homely sort of place, so not really for us. I hope it's a bit better now, but I can see that some would find it attractive.
Don't know about any entertainment sites near Cheddar, if you have tots to worry about I would suggest Brean Sands (many sites) and then take a day trip to the gorge. Cheddar is mostly walking.

Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
I have looked at broadway house but a bit worried about the evening/daytime entertainment for the children as it does not say on their website what they provide. I have e-mailed them so will wait on a reply!
I have also looked at the Holiday resort unity in Brean. Seems to ticks all the box's for entertainment but as expected quite a bit more expensive to stay there.
When places say a coin meter for washing up facilitys does this mean they are going to charge ou to wash your dishes?? If so I will be getting a bucket of "free hot water" they state and wash it outside my tent, lol. seems bit harsh!
I've always quite liked to look of Bucklegrove or the Cheddar CC site. Never stayed at eitrher, but the next time we go this way either of these will be on the top of my list.
