Me and my Gf are looking to go camping this weekend. Checked out afew sites in barmouth but all seem pretty expensive ( at £25 a night ) for just the 2 of us. Been to shell island before but was full of groups of youths. Looking for a site in wales that isnt full of same sex or young groups, Has a indoor part ( pub/club with entertainment) and on or near the beach. Any reccomendations would be greatly Aprreciated. Thanks

"Shell Island is a Families and Couples Campsite. We do not accept Single Sex groups, or Youngsters camping by themselves without parental supervision." - from their website.

No bar or entertainment, but have a look at Cae Du (the one near Tywyn).

Thankyou Bob, Problem with shell island is the large groups just go on at different times. I dont mind them but some of them seem to be on there looking for trouble. Will look at Cae du now. Thanks

brilliant site, fairly quiet 2 or 3 minutes from a lovely beach and there's a nice quaint village there too.  we (dad and 2 kids) really liked going there last march!

if there's only 2 of you Drew may nock a bit off for you he did with us and even offered to help me put my tent up in the wind
