We were thinking about going here in the summer and my camping buddy rang and asked why they weren't allowing reviews. They said that they'd had some bad reviews from people complaining about the weather/mud etc and noise from the neighbouring site both of which were out of their control and as they manage quite nicely with repeat bookings from previous satisfied customers they decided not to allow any more reviews.

We've decided to go to Dorset instead btw or we would have been going here.

We stayed there a few years ago and had a great time. From what I can remember they have a small private beach (not sure if thats the case now) just a short walk away down some steps but then we walked into the neighbouring site to use the beach. Facilities were OK with a play area for the kids across a stream.

We were there 2 years ago. Despite some bad reviews on here, we thought it was lovely! Views to die for, basic but clean toilet block and run by nice people, all for a very good price! The private beach is a steep walk down many steps, but well worth the effort! You can walk to the local harbour in 3/4 minutes and just a little further to the castle. There was a lovley restaurant at the castle, we had breakfast and dinner there a couple of times.

Hope you enjoy it.

just got back from watermouth bay and it was great, can't really fault it, toilets clean and free showers, friendly wardens, free tractor rides for the kids, big pitches and very reasonable prices for whit week, really enjoyed it.
