We are a large family with approximately 7 tents, hoping to get away for a weekend in late July. Can anyone recommend a site where we will be welcomed? We are mainly adults, but not too rowdy so hoping there is a good site that would take our booking!

I'm having no end of trouble finding a site that will allow less than a week at that time. Someones just suggested trying C&CC sites, you might find one with a rally field that they'll let you use so you're all together.
Jellybean, I had exactly the same problem as you a couple of years back. As soon as you mention a 'group' you get the cold shoulder from a site, even though I explained we are 3 sisters and their small children, not rowdy teenagers. Could you chose a site that does not have set pitches and all book seperately. That's what we had to do. We went to Golden Cap in Dorset and it was lovely. We all pitched near to each other without any problem.
We know Golden Cap very well! There's a cottage in Chideock that we've rented for a few years and love the place!! We live in Brighton, so unfortunately a little far to go for the weekend. A great idea about separate bookings though, will start the hunt for somewhere that doesn't have set pitches.
Many thanks.

I've often wondered what Park Farm was like....not so much for us because it's just 2 miles down the road but for people coming to visit etc. It would be nice to have somewhere to recommend.

We are off to Hillside this week and could suit your needs as no marked pitches as such.Good reviews in the reviews section of this site too.Near the new forest.
