Booked to stay at Park Foot for three nights over the Spring bank holiday weekend.  The site is roughly 10 minutes drive from the motorway and was already fairly busy when we arrived but we had chance to pitch up easily enough and also reserve a spot for friends.

Checking in was simple enough, the reception was large (I’ve known smaller hotel receptions!) and the staff were helpful and efficient.

The site has a club house, restaurant and takeaway and the prices are reasonable. The kids had plenty to do with the two play areas as well as a stream running through the site which they could paddle in and fish for minnows.

At night it’s lights out and noise off when you get to 12 midnight and this was strictly adhered to. We heard nothing after this time apart from the owls and other wildlife.

The showers are clean, hot and cheap enough at 20p for six minutes but unless you went at about 7.15am you had to queue for quite a while.

Overall I would recommend this site for a lively family holiday but not if you wanted peace and quite and to get away from it all!!

The only downside was that there was quite a walk to the toilet block/showers and the site was huge and slightly overcrowded.
