We have returned after having a relaxing week at Sandringham. It is a huge site and I believe 4-5 couples run the site. However I have some gripes.
1. lots of dogs were not on leads.
2 Ball games every where
Our tent became a goal post and /or cricket wicket we had children playing ball games without any consideration to other campers. I did politely ask that maybe they played on the designated ball game area but to no avail. Once while eating in the tent a cricket (yes cricket )ball landed on our table!!!!!! Strange how they didnt play near their units.
3. I dont think anyone bothered to use the mop after showering, consequently muddy foot prints were left within shower cubicles.
I know I sound like a moaning old fart but I feel that some people are extremely inconsiderate of others and their property.
Thats it said it now.
I did complain to the site managers who agreed with me!
Alex
I hate to complain

This is why campsites have rules, and why campers should stick to them - not because we all have to be automatons marching to the drum of the wardens but because it doesn't take much to seriously mess up other campers' experiences.
As more and more people take up camping, fewer and fewer seem to understand the need for campsite etiquette.
We've had discussions on this topic before, and some posters just cannot understand why some things are against "the rules", be they formal or informal rules. But it's just like driving on the road - if we all did just as we felt it would be anarchy. On the roads it would lead to carnage, on a campsite it leads to lots of very annoyed people. Unless someone takes perverse pleasure from upsetting people, why do it? The answer, sadly, is ignorance, rudeness and selfishness.
But, as annoying as it was, at least you were in a tent. Imagine what happens to a caravan when a cricket ball (or even a tennis ball or football) whacks into the side of it.
