We went there a few years ago now,  it could have changed since we visited, but it was very geared up to static caravans and in my opinion tourers were an after- thought, I think you pay for the entertainment and on site facilities, e.g. pool, takeaway and bar.  If you like large commerial sites then this would be great, but if like us you prefer a smaller quieter site, then possibly not.  We found toilets and showers o.k. but not the best we have seen and not always very clean.

Hope this helps a little but it is only my opinion and not everyone looks for the same in a site.

A lot of the Northumberland sites are more expensive but the location of them more than makes up for it

We had alook around Warren last year and I have got to say it was the best touring site we looked at.

My friend has stayed there  last year and liked it some much she is going back this year.

expensive    used to have just a few statics and lots of tourers but like many sites the statics have taken over   now another haven site  if that is whast you want then go  lots to do onsite    but if you are after the quieter tourer world you'll have to go more inland i fear

use to take 6th formers there for the week for a field course  eons ago it seems     

If your looking inland I can highly recomend Wooler. We stayed at Riverside in a static a couple of years ago and had a fabulous time, they had pitches at Riverside. We had a look around HIghburn house which is also in Wooler, we thought it was a beautiful site.

Wooler is a quaint town with plenty of pubs that do food and a great base for exploring Northumberland.
