I love it, We camped there with a tent and now have our tourer on a seasonal pitch. I would try and avoid bank holidays though as the place gets packed and it is a huge site. The toilets etc are cleaned at least twice a day and to be honest if people took a bit more care they would stay a lot cleaner but when prople cannot even scrape the left over food into a bin and just rinse it into the sink you canot blame the site or the cleaners. Put your used paper towels etc into the bins and the place is immediately tidier but this doesn't happen either and once again the site cannot be blamed for the thoughtlessness of the tourists. It's great for kids, a play area for the young ones with swings ets, a boating lake where the kids use their own bought (buy one in the shop) but best of all is a huge playing field for football, cricket etc.
We have had some good times at this site when we were new but when you visit other sites you realise how bad it is, yes you can put some of the blame on some of the campers but there is never any hot water to wash up and quite often the showers are out of order as they have a problem with the boiler and there is no hot water. This could be a fab site if some money was spent on updating facillities as they are out of the arc also there is not enough toilets or showers for the amount of people visiting the site especially Bank Holidays, Akebar need to step back and have a look at other sites and what they are charging for poor facillities, they stopped any reviews because of all the bad comments, i could go on but think i`ve said enough. Have had some fab times there with friends but dont think i would ever go back.
Don't forget to leave a review of the campsites you have visited this year or last!
