hi All

I know before you say it i know ive left it late, always ruddy do! then curse myself silly as all the good places are booked up!

right well, hols are in at work for last 2 weeks of summer hols and a camping we are going - but where?

want to head south devon,cornwall, dorset( vain hope of better weather)

want a beach and indoor pool, kids ent - but pref not haven ooh and village would be nice.

want a weeks pitch to cost less than 200 !

Yup -want want want! - but what we really NEED is availability- Have looked endlessly at reviews page and most ones that i shortlisted are well booked up!

Please help a desp camper- otherwise i'll be spending the hols visiting the dreaded inlaws!

any ideas, opinions suggestions welcomed.

To be honest I think your shoping list is a bit ambitious at under £200 per week for late August.

Monkey Tree near Newquay do a pitch for 4 with ehu for 225.

We were given some late holidays in August a couple of years ago so were in the same boat as you.  I phoned loads of the cheaper priced sites but ended up staying at Shamba holidays.  It's not cheap but we were desperate and it did have a little indoor pool with a bar and little games room.  We enjoyed our stay but wouldn't go back cos there are cheaper sites out there.  We booked up only 10 days to 2 weeks beforehand.  So you may find that you will have to pay more this year which will make you more determinded to remember to book up way in advance for next year :)

thanks for all the replies - think ive found somewhere for a week - woolocombe sands holiday park,n devon? the reviews seems quite good, other option is widemouth bay holiday park,nr bude - the latter is cheaper but  unsure of what beach is like or area?
