Hi

Camping looking to camp in the Buxton area for a few days in July - can anyone recommend a quite site - normally stop at Grindon on a lovely site but if it is windy need a backup site to go to

Hi

We went to Longnor Wood last year, an adults only site quite near to Buxton. We liked it very much, lovely clean toilets and showers, friendly owner/manager, nice little shop and dog-friendly. Some tent pitches I thought were a bit small but depends which one you have. We're hoping to go back this year.

Duke of York, Pomeroy is not far from Buxton, spacious pitches but very basic toilet / shower facilities, pub does great food, dog friendly.
