Haven in Blackpool is fine if you've got a caravan and an awning that doesn't need pegging down. The pitches are double width concrete pads, with small, uneven grass areas between them. I have a campervan and should have suspected something when the reception asked me where my caravan was, especially as my booking confirmation showed motorhome I had to park on the edge of the concrete and have my small awning on the grass slope next to me
We're off to Marton Mere (I think that's a Haven site but not sure) in September on a cheap Mail holiday and renting a static caravan as it's working out cheaper for us that way.
Have stayed in the site a few times and it can be a bit disorganised with no real difference between the types of pitch but never had any problems with toilets. Haven't been to the pool as prefer going to the Sandcastle in Blackpool so can't really comment on that. Not really noticed any real chaviness or trouble there. For me it's just a cheap break so I can take my daughter to see the lights.

hi. if you look on campsite search facility you will find a site called hampton rd social club, it is only a short walk 5 mins to the prom not far from the south pier, only about 28 pitches with shower and toilets.
We were in Blackpool last October, stayed in Knepps Farm.
Though it was excellent.
Easy drive into Blackpool, didnt find parking a problem, mostly used the the Hounds Hill shopping centre multi storey car park.
The toilet block was lovely and warm, with individual bathrooms.
Have stayed in Marton Mere in the past and wasnt impressed.
If you decide to go follow the directions from the site, not your sat nav if you have one.
