Earlier this year i was surfing round the net and found a really nice looking campsite in cornwall, and just outside across the country lane is a pub/restuarant, both the site and pub looked lovely, im sure it was down the west coast of cornwall near newquay way, its not a massive campsite/holiday park type of place. I did bookmark their website but my laptop decided to go wrong and i lost all my bookmarks. I have been sitting here for about 3 hours trying to find it, and just cant seem to find it. got no idea whaqt the name is or the name of the pub, but i remember looking at reviews for the pub and it got really good reviews.

what Im asking does this vague description bring any ideas to any of you? I know it could be any site any where but with the pub just outside it may ring some bells.

TIA

Could it have been 'The Smugglers Den' pub which is near to Cubert, halfway between Newquay and Perranporth. There is a site opposite the pub.

People on here are a mind of useful (and useless i suppose) information - but not only that they are all so helpful.

Glad you found the site you were looking for - Happy Camping !

Might it have been Gwithian Farm with the Red River pub over the road. If it is please ignore this message as too many people use the site already and I'm trying to squeeze a few more visits in this year- LOL see below

I love Trebellan - we've been every year for a few but not this year as going somewhere else.  The Smugglers Den is good - same menu every year!!  Go across the fields to Cubert - sometimes there's peas growing, sometimes it's maize - lovely walk - not far either - the shop used to sell frozen homemade scones but it got taken over last year so no frozen scones -even so worth the walk.  We used to go for about three days in the motorhome so husband and son could fish and we could have a meal in the pub - never moved!  Very relaxing and one year a converted VW campervan came round selling smoothies made while you waited.  The swimming pool is great for the kids - I couldn't find another site with the pub, swimming, fishing mix that was as good - they are not too dear for that area and they have peacocks and caged aviary birds etc.  I am missing it already...I think pich F15 was best for the sun...
